About the Campaign

This little guy loves to play dress up!

Dollar will come to his owner Erica with his sweater or a shirt in his mouth, and ask to have it put on.

He is a playful, and happy boy of just 5 years, but about two months ago Erica noticed a tumor. It is on his right side, behind the ribcage, and kind of hard. He squeals if you touch it, and sometimes doesn’t like to put on his clothes when it is bothering him!

So we know it is painful, and he doesn’t like it. Now here is some good news, this little doggo lives in rural Arkansas. Why is that good, because there is a country doctor he has been going to since he was a puppy, and this doctor hasn’t heard of the prices vets are charging in the city nowadays!

Yep, the doc will take care of this tumor for just about $250. That has gotta be the lowest price we have seen in a while, and that’s great for Dollar too! Now Dollar’s mom is taking care of her elderly parents, one of which requires 24/7 care. She has part-time work at a Subway (the sandwich place), but no one is getting rich working at a Subway in small town Arkansas. So, even though we have got a great price from the doctor, she does not have money.

As with all our fundraisers for pets, donations are held by us, and only paid to the veterinarian. Erica will receive no payments herself. AND, since the amount needed is so low, we have set a starting donation amount of just $3.00! Now I don’t know about you, but I literally paid almost $6.00 for a simple latte at the Starbucks in my grocery store yesterday. And I thought to myself, I gotta just make coffee at home. I mean, $6.00? That could have been TWO donations to get Dollar out of pain and happy and healthy again! So come on, your donation goes directly to the dog, it is guaranteed and refunded if the procedure doesn’t happen, drop in 1/2 a city latte for this little country dog today! WOOOF!!

Good luck there should be more considerate vets like the one treating him. Vet fees have become ridiculous. Stay strong lil guy!!
