Having Seizures!

August 8th, 4pm, URGENT: Dewey reached his goal of $1250 and was admitted, had many tests, got medicines. However, he had a seizure at the hospital (see video above) and they want to do an ULTRASOUND now, which is about $750 more. Fundraiser reopened for this additional amount… it is urgent, so we just reopened instead of setting up a new one. Thank you for understanding.

Little Dewey is really little. He’s just under 3 pounds. This guy was found running down the middle of the street, and Rhiannon’s husband blocked traffic and picked him up. That was July 10th. He seemed a bit lethargic for a puppy, but he was sweet and seemed to be eating and using the bathroom fine.

Then on the 13th he had two seizures! This really scarred Rhiannon and the took him the the emergency vet. His blood work was normal, but he tested for marijuana. He also has a very bad heart murmur. The doctor wants to do some treatments, but the heart murmur is a Grade 5, almost the worst level. The doctor is afraid to do anything until this is addressed.

The murmur may be, at least in part, due to the marijuana and who knows what else. But the directive is simple: Dewey needs to see a heart specialist ASAP and get an echocardiogram.

She has already spent over $1000 on Dewey, so Dewey needs everyone’s help to get this procedure done and move forward with resolving his seizures.
