About the Campaign
Little Ol’ Lady and
her little rescue dog
Darling was at the bus station in El Monte. A man had him, no leash running around his feet. As Mary, 82 years old now, walked by a woman with this man ran up to her and said “Will you take this dog!?”
It was a strange situation, and the couple were not right, so Mary said “sure”, and the lady scooped up Darling and handed him to Mary. He was immediately quiet, burrowed his head under her arm, and Mary left right away.
Now, nearly seven years later, Darling is a bit older, going on eight. And his teeth are getting bad. It happens with these smaller breeds. He needs them cleaned, under anesthesia, and probably a few of them pulled. And because he is a little older, they want to do a blood test first, which is a good idea anyway as a check up because Darling has never had one.
Mary get’s Darling all his vaccines and flea treatments through the Humane Society, but dental work isn’t available from them. She got a good price from a local vet, but Mary barely makes rent every month and for her $700 might as well be $7000… she couldn’t save up $700 in a year. So little Darling needs a little help!
A neighbor is helping with pictures and and getting Mary and Darling to the vet, and all donations are paid only to San Gabriel Animal Hospital. So jump in an help out! A bunch of little donations will make a big impact on Darling and Mary, thank you!!! (Vet estimate below, click to enlarge):

Thank you to Mary for taking this dog! Chihuahuas always have bad teeth so I’m donating to just help a little. (the owner of 2 rescue chihuahuas!)
