About the Campaign
Puppy Mill Survivor
Daisy and another French Bulldog were rescued from an illegal breeder earlier this year. Daisy is only five years-old, but has clearly be bred many, many times. But there is something even worse… before that though, she needs to be spayed, and more importantly she needs brachycephalic surgery (NARES) as she has trouble breathing that will only get worse.
The GREAT news is that the rescue, Independent SOCAL French Bulldog Rescue, has arranged the full procedure, including spay, at an astounding price. Often this procedure is well over $3000, even $5000 dollars, but Daisy will get everything taken care of for under $1100.
Now we did say there was something worse too. If you look at the picture below, you might be able to partly see the hard scar on her belly. The doctor says this is scar tissue built up from multiple surgeries. This breed often needs a c-section when giving birth, and probably Daisy not only had repeated c-sections, but they were not done by a veterinarian.
Just terrible what these breeders do to dogs, and this is commonly done with this breed. Back yard breeders, and back yard “vets”. This activity is illegal in California, but enforcement is weak. One thing: The public needs to be educated NOT to buy these dogs from unlicensed breeders off Craigslist and Facebook!
Daisy now:
Fortunately Daisy is now safe and happy in a foster home, and once healed up from her surgery, she can be adopted to a good family, spayed so she never has puppies again! Your donation helps get her there, so if you can help Daisy, please do so today 🙂

My friend Karin is her foster parent. She has the biggest heart and after losing her beloved Frenchie Kody, she has generously opened her heart and home to a frenchie in need. Daisy is in good hands.
