About the Campaign
A few weeks ago Cookie started acting a bit strange. She wouldn’t eat much, and her mouth seemed to shake sometimes. Like she would shake her jaw… and she would scratch at her mouth.
Her mom has to stay home, she is fighting cancer, and she is quite sensitive to changes in Cookie’s behavior. Mom examined her, and got a good look in her mouth and saw, very clearly, at least one molar (back teeth) was cracked very visibly.
Cookie’s family is having some financial difficulties right now. Mom is fighting bone cancer, and her dad lost his job in retail due to the COVID19 pandemic. The family got a verbal guess-estimate from their vet, Best Friends Pet Hospital, of about $1000-1200 for the dental surgery. But Cookie will need a senior blood panel (she is 9 years-old) and x-rays as well.
Her family has had Cookie since she was a puppy. A relative noticed a car dump an entire litter of puppies, and ran after them. She managed to catch Cookie! She’s a very good dog, friendly, cute and fun loving. This terrible tooth-ache has her not acting like herself.
All donations are paid only to the vet for Cookie’s dental work, and also a possible tumor removal… a small one on her back. Please donate in confidence knowing you donation will go only to help Cookie! Thank you!
