About the Campaign
Cody is living in a small apartment with two families and five children.
He is a senior dog, whose owner passed and the daughter took him in.
But the daughter is not able to care for him, and he is doing very poorly in this crowded and chaotic situation. In addition, he has large untreated growths on his rear.
They took him to a low cost vet that didn’t do much but give him some pills, which the family doesn’t give him, and recommend they see a specialist, which they will not.
We are interceding and taking Cody in. We have an appointment for him Friday, September 22nd, with a vet that is excellent at making diagnoses. But we are still having difficulty arranging the transportation. The family has no car, live far east of Los Angeles, and are not really able to do much. So we probably will need to pay someone to drive him.
Further, Cody is around 10 years old, so he needs a full blood test before surgery can even be considered, never mind all the tests and x-rays he may need to find out what is wrong.
He will be safe. The family is surrendering Cody to us, so once we get him in the vet he will be with our rescue group and go to a safe foster home through whatever treatments he needs.
All donations are specifically for Cody, and we will be updating this fundraiser with all the details as we get them. Your donation is needed to get Cody safe now! Thank you.

Praying Cody gets all the help he needs soon. He’s suffered enough.

I’ll take Cody along with my 3 little seniors. I’m a senior too in OC. He needs a better place to live.

This is so sad for all these animals. It gets worse every day I live in Florida and I think it’s just as bad as it is there in California so many dumped dogs and abused and mistreated. . These people should start getting arrested. At least this family took this poor little dog in but he needs a home to care for him. . Thanks for taking him in.

I, too, am a little old lady who just lost my 16 year old Chihuahua and I would hate to see him not taken care of if I happened to be the one to go first. I can imagine what Cody must be going through, please get him help as soon as possible and get him into a foster home that will cherish him the way he was likely cherished all his life by his “mom” who passed away.

Cody has been through a lot. I feel so bad for him. If my help will push the surgery date any sooner then I’m going to donate. Hang in there Cody, I love you!♥️
