About the Campaign
Needs Dental Surgery
Clyde has periodontal disease and needs surgery and some teeth removed. About periodontal disease in cats.
Paul adopted Clyde as a kitten from a rescue. The rescue had taken in a full litter, and Paul adopted one. They have been together over 10 years now, and Clyde has generally been a healthy and happy cat.
Hi there, I’m Clyde!
But recently Clyde has been acting differently, not eating much and other behaviors that led Paul to take him to the veterinarian. The vet did a complete set of tests on Clyde, costing over $300, which Paul paid for… and determined that Clyde had dental disease and needed surgery.
The estimate the vet gave was up to $2000.00, but we arranged a second opinion for Clyde at Westside Pet Clinic in Santa Monica. There he was given an estimate of $700 + medications.
Paul is disabled, and lives in senior housing. He has a serious heart condition and some other health issues. Though he was able to pay for Clyde’s exam and diagnosis, he is unable to afford the cost of surgery. All donations are specifically for Clyde and will only be paid to the vet for Clyde. The doctor would like to do surgery by February 5th.
