About the Campaign
Chloe has Gingivitis,
and medication is having side-effects.
This little girl is now 8 years-old, adopted when she was two by Sonia and her husband. Earlier this year Chloe started to have bad breath, and Sonia took her to the vet for a check up. Chloe was diagnosed with gum disease (gingivitis) and a couple of bad teeth that were not helping with the infection.
Sonia paid for a blood test, spending about $200, and got medications, but did not have enough to do the needed surgery. She then started trying to raise the money, find help and save up. In the meantime Chloe was put on some medications, but they have side-effects, causing a yellow sticky discharge around her face, and it is starting to impact her fur and make her uncomfortable. Let’s get her off these medications and just get the surgery done! You can see the side-effects here:
It’s getting to be too much, even though Sonia washes Chloe’s face daily, and really the washing is too much as well… and the solution is simple.
Unfortunately, soon after Chloe’s diagnosis, Sonia’s husband had issues with his Social Security (he is a retired janitor) and their payments were delayed. It is getting sorted out now, but is still not much. Sonia works as a typist in an office as well, but the combine income is just about enough to live on, and it is hard to get up the money to pay the surgery. On top of that, now the vet wants another blood test for Chloe since it has been too long since the first one!
So the surgery is about $600, quite reasonable actually, and the blood work is $200. Plus, we want to get Chloe a professional grooming afterwards, because, poor her, her fur is just really messed up now, and she needs a through trim and cleaning by a pro! All donations are specially for Chloe and her treatment, so please donate in confidence. This sweet little dog doesn’t need much to have an incredibly improved quality of life, let’s make that happen for her!! WOOOF!
