About the Campaign
Seizure!
Cherry is young, just 3.5 years-old. She had a seizure on October 9th, which was caught on video (above).
This is her third seizure this year, the other were in February and possibly one in May. The recent seizure went on for nearly three minutes and scared her owner Christina very badly. They took Cherry to the emergency vet, who wanted over $2000 in tests done. They also got referred to a neurologist.
Christina lives in Pomona, California but is from Beirut, Lebanon. In 2021 a friend in Lebanon gave her Cherry as a gift to help her with her anxiety resulting from traumatic events she had been through in Beirut. Christina and her sister came to the US under asylum at the end of 2022 and brought Cherry with them. They are Christians (their father is a priest), and they were not safe in Lebanon.
Cherry is a fan of naps, but she also likes to play, as seen her at the local dog park!
Their church provides limited financial support as they go through the asylum process. The sisters are legal to work, but have had trouble getting work recently, and simply do not have the money to get Cherry the tests she needs. All donations are specifically for Cherry and paid only for her to the veterinarian.
We are also taking extra steps to get Cherry further consultations at lower cost, donations will be put to good use to help this dog, and a treatment plan with detailed charges should be available soon.

I’ve had 3 seizure rescues and it’s painful and difficult to watch them go through this. Phenobarbital helped as did Gabapentin.
