Candy had so many problems!

Tumors, including in her ear…

Horrible skin rashes and mange…

Teeth, oh the teeth…

But she has been taken in by a fantastic couple, they just need help!

Candy’s previous owner passed away in April of this year. Before that this person refused modern veterinary care for Candy, insisting on a “holistic” approach using home-remedies and other unproven treatments. When Candy came to her new family, the Sasahara’s, she was in terrible shape. The Sasahara family has spent over $2000 on Candy so far, and in the photo below (click any photo to enlarge it) you can see substantial improvement:

But Candy needs more treatment. First of all look at her teeth, these need to be dealt with:

She needs further treatment for her skin conditions, which are improving, and most costly, she needs complex ear surgery. The exterior tumor looked awful, but it was fairly easy to remove. Unfortunately Candy has another tumor deep inside her ear, and that is going to require surgery with a specialist. In total she is going to need nearly $7000.00 in additional treatment, additional to what has already been done.

The Sasahara’s have two rabbits, which Candy befriended:

The Sasahara family is ready to pay what they can, but they cannot cover the entire bill. They, like many, have had their finances effected by COVID, one of them losing employment. We are setting up this fundraiser with a goal of $5000.00 to help cover Candy’s bills. All donations here are held by us, and only paid to the vet clinics when the procedures are performed!
