About the Campaign

Hit by a car

Broken front leg

Buster is a rescue from California. Trina and Friends K9 Rescue pulled him out of SEEACA animal shelter in Downey, CA when he was listed for euthanasia because they lacked space for new arrivals. He was healthy, and just 2 years-old!

Buster at the shelter:

They got him out, vetted and off to a foster in the state of Maine! All good, and looking up for Buster. But then bad luck. The foster had him out for photos for adoption, and he got loose, ran in the road and was hit by a car at nearly 50 mph!

Buster’s front leg is broken, a compound fracture, and it can only be fixed with orthopedic surgery using a plate. In Maine there are very few pet emergency hospitals and specialists, so this already expensive procedure is even more expensive that usual. The rescue is simply overwhelmed and unable to make the payment needed without support!

Transporting into the clinic:

All donations are for Buster specifically. The break is a front leg, and with a large dog, it is going to be so much better for him if this leg can be saved. But even the amputation is very expensive. However, Trina and everyone at the rescue want to save his leg. Let’s help make that happen!
