Urgent Surgery to Fight Possible Cancer
Bubble, a 10-year-old domestic shorthair cat, has developed a large lump on her neck that may be cancer. Once playful and adventurous, she now hides away, pees outside her litter box, ignores her favorite treats, and no longer explores the backyard she once loved. Watching her withdraw from the world has been heartbreaking for her family.
On the advice of her veterinarian, Bubble was taken to Blue Pearl Pet Hospital, where specialists explained the seriousness of her condition. Because of the lump’s location, treatment is complex and requires a CT scan, surgery, and follow-up care. The initial estimate for this is up to $10,000—far more than her family can manage alone.
Bubble has been Kristine’s companion for nine years. They met when Bubble’s previous owner abandoned her and the local shelter stepped in. Bubble chose Kristine that day, coming right up for affection, and the bond was instant. Since then, she has been like a daughter to Kristine, who has no children of her own.
But right now, the family is facing tremendous financial strain. Kristine lost her job as a graphic designer in May. She and her husband Leon, an accountant, are also caring for Kristine’s father, Duc, who recently finished cancer treatment himself and cannot work. With student loans, a single income, and medical costs already pressing on them, they simply cannot afford the surgery that Bubble urgently needs.
Bubble’s condition is treatable, and if she can get surgery soon, she has a strong chance at more healthy, happy years. Kristine and Leon are doing everything possible, but they can’t save Bubble without help. Through various methods they have pooled a lot of the funding together, but poor Bubble is still about $2000 short.
With this boost of help for Bubble, she can get the full course of treatment she needs. All donations are only for her, to get Bubble funded.
