About the Campaign
Little Miss Bridget Bardot
Hope & Heart 4 Paws were called at the end of April about a little dog that
was living in the parking lot of a factory. She was being fed by a lady who lived near by but this wasn’t enough for her, she was following around the workers at their cars looking for scraps.
There wasn’t any trouble catching this little fur kid. Once in the rescues care it was found that Bridget had diabetes. The vet also told the rescue that she could develop blindness due to her diabetes. Shortly, after this diagnosis Bridget went blind basically over night. The rescue was heartbroken and in shock it happened so fast.
DAY ONE WITH BRIDGET
Bridget is full of personality and life. She still walks like she can see but will bump into things. She talks to her foster when she’s ready to eat. Being a rescue you aren’t able to pick the animals you are given. Bridget needs more medical care than most so please consider donating so she can see again. We can’t tell about Bridget’s past but we can make her future bright!
Good news is Bridget did her retinal testing and is a great candidate for surgery. She will receive a lens and be able to see near and far sided, since the retina hasn’t detached. In larger words: Bridget has bilateral hypermature cataracts due to diabetes. The surgery needed is Bilateral phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implant. Hope & Hearts 4 Paws raised $680 on their own for the surgery!

Bridget is scheduled for surgery Thursday, June 20th. The vet is confident she will regain all her sight.
