About the Campaign
Bria is a 2-year-old female Husky mix who has developed sudden-onset seizures and other alarming neurologic signs, and her neurologist has recommended an MRI and CSF (spinal fluid) analysis to determine what’s causing them and how to treat them. These tests are the key to ruling out serious conditions and finding a plan that can actually control the seizures and protect Bria’s quality of life.
Bria’s first seizure-like episodes began in October 2025. They were focal seizures—subtle, hard-to-catch events where she would stare off into space and sometimes urinate involuntarily. At first, it looked like it might be a UTI, but the episodes continued. Bria has since needed emergency vet care and neurology evaluation, and she is now on additional seizure medications—yet her family still doesn’t have the answers that only advanced diagnostics can provide.
Yana originally purchased Bria through a trainer with the hope of having a service dog. Bria was trained for medical alert and retrieval tasks—helping fetch medication and a phone—support that matters deeply because Yana lives with significant health challenges including POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and other ongoing issues. But Bria’s own medical problems began early and forced her to stop service work soon after.
Over the last two years, Yana has fought for Bria relentlessly. Bria has dealt with multiple health concerns—anxiety, acid reflux, allergies, and undiagnosed spinal pain—and Yana has spent around $10,000 on diagnostics, medications, and frequent veterinary visits (often monthly or more). Medications alone run about $300 per month, and that cost has increased now that seizure meds have been added. Much of this has been paid on credit, and the financial strain has become overwhelming.
Yana is doing everything she can, but she can’t absorb another major round of specialty testing. She is self-employed as a pet sitter, is in school working toward becoming a vet tech, and receives SSDI—she’s been on disability since her teens, and her health issues have worsened over time. She’s also currently on a waiting list for another service-dog program because she no longer has a working service animal, making this period even more difficult.
Donations will help cover Bria’s MRI and CSF analysis, the urgent next steps her neurologist needs to diagnose the cause of the seizures and guide proper treatment. All donations are paid only to the veterinarian. Estimate below, click to enlarge:

Thanks Margie for sharing the link for Bria. I can help pass a link on to others. What these folks do is amazing for the furbabies and their humans. Want to also thank you for placing cash donations in with your donations all the time. You collect a lot from many who care just as much for the pets/families. I appreciate you friend.
