About the Campaign
Blossom meets her new family
Jake and Rachel were recently separated from their previous cat due to a house fire and knew they needed a new companion. They found a family looking for someone to adopt their eight year old cat, Blossom. After meeting Blossom they decided she would be a good addition to their family.
Jake and Rachel assumed nothing was wrong with the cat just didn’t get along with the other animals in the house. The family they adopted Blossom from didn’t mention any health issues. Jake and Rachel noticed something was wrong when Blossom was making little effort to clean herself, wasn’t eating her kibble, all her food had to be watered down and sometimes needed to be coerced to eat.
Blossom has advanced periodontal disease
Blossom went on a round of antibiotics and it seemed to help temporary. She started walking around more, exploring and interacting with others. A deep cleaning and examination of her mouth is needed soon. Jake and Rachel are going to school and working full time. They adopted this beautiful cat thinking she was ok, not knowing the previous owners were covering up her dental disease.
Jake and Rachel say “Blossom has had a very difficult life from the looks of it and we just want our cat to spend the rest of her natural life happy and pain-free”
