About the Campaign
Fighting a painful nerve tumor!
Benji, a sweet 13-year-old Terrier mix, has been Kelly’s devoted companion since 2017—but now he’s facing a serious medical challenge. A suspected nerve sheath tumor in his right armpit is affecting his ability to walk and causing him daily pain. To determine exactly what’s going on and how to proceed, Benji urgently needs an MRI.
If the tumor is low enough on his leg, there’s a chance it can be treated with surgery—possibly even through amputation. But the MRI is the critical first step.
Kelly has done everything she can to get Benji the help he needs. She’s raised $1,000, secured a $2,500 grant from the nonprofit Barkleyworld, and is contributing what she can from her own pocket. Now she’s just $1,200 short of getting Benji the MRI that could save his life.
We love campaigns where the owner is making serious effort and contribution, and just needs all of us to help their pet that last little bit! It shows commitment to their pet, and getting them the treatment and the aftercare they will need.
Benji first showed signs of trouble last fall with a limp. Initial X-rays pointed to tendonitis, but after rest and recovery, he was still struggling. Specialists now strongly suspect a nerve sheath tumor due to the thickening in his armpit and the way he walks.
Kelly runs a small handmade fashion business and shares her home with Benji and two cats—one of whom is also sick and requiring veterinary care. Between vet bills, her own medical debt, and the $200/month she spends just to keep Benji stable with pain, seizure, and thyroid medications, there’s simply nothing left for this last push.
Please help close the gap so Benji can get the MRI he needs and move forward with treatment. Every dollar goes directly to his care. MRI estimate below (click to enlarge):

Because we have a national animal crisis and while all animal devoted people fight a fight we cannot win by ourselves while our government sits on the fat asses and leave it all up to us. All of us have to get together and write our legislators to step in and find a solutions for all animal killings, sickness, the hungry, needing animals. Until we can do that we have to continue to support all needing animals. That’s why I donated and to all other places
