About the Campaign

Update: We incorrectly used photos of a Shihtzu also named Bella instead of Bella Moltbia, who is a Dachshund. We have now put in the correct photos. For reference, the main photo above of Bella Moltbia has teh erroneous photo in the upper right corner. We apologize for this mistake and have emailed all donors about it as well. Bella had surgery, it was successful. The stone was very bad (more info below). The final bill was $2622.

Urgent bladder stone!

Bella Moltbia is seven and she’s in trouble. Julia noticed blood when Bella urinated. The vet did X-rays and found a stone causing the bleeding. Bella isn’t spayed, and her vet wants to move quickly—get imaging and take care of the stone and her spay so she can heal.

This hurts, and it can get worse without treatment. Bella needs diagnostics and surgery to remove the stone, plus medications and follow-up to make sure she’s comfortable and safe.

Julia is 71 and on Social Security. She was treated for breast cancer with a mastectomy, chemo, and radiation in 2016–2019, and she manages diabetes with neuropathy. She cannot qualify for Care Credit and only has enough to cover her own copays and prescriptions.

Bella is almost a support dog. When Julia falls, Bella stays with her and keeps her calm until help arrives. She’s more than a pet—she’s Julia’s steady companion.

Please donate today so Bella can get the imaging and surgery she needs, and so Julia doesn’t have to face this alone. All donations are paid only to the veterinarian.

I work at the veterinary clinic that is overseeing Bella’s medical care. Her and her owner are the sweetest. Bella is very much loved and deserves to be comfortable and pain free. Wishing for a successful campaign!

I’m donating because I’m a senior on a fixed income, no retirement except Social Security. So I can relate.

Praying that Bella gets what she needs. I can’t give more at this time because I recently lost my job, but I’m hoping enough people will step up for her.
