About the Campaign

Bad teeth on a cute little senior dog, Bella.

Her owner, Letty, tried to get Care Credit or on a payment plan but did not qualify. However her vet, Affordable Animal Care, did give her a very reasonable price, and referred Letty here for a fundraiser!

Letty’s daughter got Bella from a rescue 12 years ago. Bella was the runt of the litter, a little small pup. Later that year she went off to college, and took Bella. But there turned out to be a problem. Bella couldn’t handle being left alone in the dorm, and would cry and whimper every time. So Bella came back home to Letty, and ended up staying there and being Letty’s dog.

Letty works as a care giver, and has kept Bella up to date at the vet… in fact, that is how Bella’s problem was discovered, when she was in for a check-up and revaccination over the summer. But recently times have gotten hard financially.

Two of the clients Letty cared for no longer need care, and her adult son who has severe autism and is disabled has had to come live at home and is requiring constant care, making it impossible to take on new clients. We have done fundraisers for a number of animals being treated at Affordable Animal Care, and they always give a very reasonable price. In this case Bella just needs a bit under $700 to get out of pain, and healthy again!

Left too long the infected teeth can lead to damage and decay of the jawbone, and sometimes even other problems like a neurological infection. So the surgery is important, and it will get the procedure done for Bella while she is still a young senior (if that makes sense!), and healthy enough for a risk-free anesthesia.

All donations are just for Bella, and we pay them only to the veterinarian! So if you can help this little senior with a donation, please do so knowing your donation, 100% of it, will go right to her. 🙂
