Growth on her lip

Bailey is a happy family dog, with a weird growth on her right lip. She’s 10 years-old now, and her family got her as a puppy for their children back in 2014. She’s been a great dog, but late last year this growth appeared.

The problem is that sometimes she rubs at it, or bites it, and it bleeds. Being on the mouth the bleeding can be hard to stop and sometimes goes on for a long time. They took her to the vet at the end of January and the doctor says the growth must be removed and tested. It may be cancer, though there are some good signs as it doesn’t seem to be growing. But these things can also develop into cancers when left untreated.

Bailey’s family can’t afford the surgery, and she also needs a blood test before anesthesia due to her age, though they have saved some. All donations are for Bailey and paid to the vet when the surgery is done, never to an individual.
