About the Campaign
Help Azul Overcome Her Health Battle
Azul, a beautiful Cane Corso puppy, is enduring a severe and life-threatening health condition that requires ongoing care and attention. Leslie, Azul’s loving owner, brought her home from a breeder in February when she was just ten weeks old. As first-time dog owners, Leslie and her partner have faced unexpected challenges with Azul’s health, and they urgently need financial assistance to help cover her costly medical needs.
Azul’s Health Struggles:
• Noticed not eating and white gums after a month
• Diagnosed as anemic with a bone marrow problem
• Requires multiple medications, injections, and regular blood work
• Has already undergone a blood transfusion
Leslie, a stay-at-home mom, and her partner have already spent $3,000 on medications and tests to identify the cause of Azul’s health issues. They recently discovered that Azul has a problem with her bone marrow, causing her anemia. Azul now requires four medicines daily, epogen injections, and constant attention as part of her treatment plan.
The cost of Azul’s ongoing medical care is $450 to $500 per month, including $240 for epogen shots, $50 for her four medications, $10 per injection, and another $50 for monthly blood work. This is in addition to the $3,000 they have already spent on her care. As a family living off a single income, these expenses are overwhelming, and they are even considering the difficult decision of rehoming Azul.
