About the Campaign
Overnight at the vet now!
Needs urgent care, and surgery soon.
Annabelle slowed her eating a few days ago, then suddenly she was leaking pee, with blood. Rushed to the vet, it was eventually determined she has a tumor on or near her spine.
From there she was taken to a more specialized vet (Camino Pet Hospital in Irvine). The good news is it appears cancer has not spread, but the bad news is she has a lymph tumor on her spine, almost certainly cancerous.
The doctor believes this tumor is effecting her bladder function, and she has an infection as well. Her baldder is full, and she cannot pee, so the doctor is dealing with that. Hope is that medication may fix this, but she may need a catheter. She is staying at the vet 24 hours for now, because of this situation.
Annebelle’s owner is Faith Easdale, a well known dog rescuer. Faith rescued her in November of 2015, almost 4 years ago! She was in a bad way then, and almost died from a tetanus infection…. but this poor abused animal survived and flourished with Faith!
“She still screams in her sleep sometimes. I know she had a traumatic past and I’m pretty sure she came up from the riverbed. God only knows what horrors she saw and experienced.
Time went by and her eyes relaxed and her ears went back down and she made a full recovery. She is my gentle girl. The most calm and grateful dog I ever owned.
Other animals would be mean and she just stood unaffected and patient.
She is in my eyes perfection”
All money raised here is for Annabelle to be paid only to her vet(s) directly! Right now she has had multiple x-rays, medications, and overnight care. She will be having an ultra-sound.
We do not know how her treatment plan will progress yet. It may stay fairly simple and thus not too expensive, but it might become complex. For now we are working to raise about $1000.00 but this request may increase.
Please know that all donations are only for Annabelle, held by Free Animal Doctor, and only paid directly to the vet! Please donate in confidence today!
