About the Campaign
Anna’s molars (rear teeth) are too large!
This condition can happen in rabbits like Anna, and the solution is to grin the teeth down. Obviously, she must be anesthetized to do this, so it cost a bit of money. Fortunately her owner found a good, low cost vet to do this, for just over $200.00!
Anna visits local nursing homes, and residents get to pet and interact with her… she is a therapy rabbit. She is very sweet, and easy to deal with and just perfect at this job!
Anna actually had E. cuniculi, a fungal infection that can kill rabbits. It was caught early, and Anna was put on a 1 month long medicine procedure, which has cleared up the disease… but through this process (which required some surgery for tissue samples) the molar condition was discover as well.
And now it is getting worse and causing some problems. Her owner is disabled and a senior citizen, and after spending the money on fighting E. cuniculi she does not have the available funds to the dental procedure.
How you can help Anna:
Donations are only paid to the vet, specifically for Anna’s molar grinding procedure. The vet is only charging $210, and then we are raising a little more for pain medications post-procedure. So, the amount needed is only $250.00 and even a small donation gets Anna a lot closer to her goal!
