About the Campaign
Run over by a car!
Ace, a senior Terrier mix, has been Kaelena’s companion since she was in the seventh grade. She bottle-fed him as a puppy after finding him abandoned, discarded in a bag by people who thought he was dead. But Ace was a fighter then, and he’s a fighter now.
Recently, Ace was hit and run over by a car after workers left the side gate open. Kaelena had just brought the kids inside when she heard Ace crying. She ran outside to find him hopping on three legs before collapsing in pain. The neighbors’ cameras captured the heartbreaking moment—Ace whimpering, confused, and hurt.
Ace suffered road rash and severe damage to his front paw. The vet is doing everything possible to save his leg, but there’s a chance it may need to be amputated. Kaelena is doing everything she can to get Ace the care he needs, but with her fiancé recently losing their job and her only income being survivor’s benefits from her late children’s father, she simply cannot afford the full cost of his treatment.
Ace has beaten the odds before, and with your help, he can get through this. Your donation will go directly toward his medical care to ensure he gets the best chance at recovery. Thank you for supporting Ace and the family who loves him!
