About the Campaign
Abby showed up in Gracie’s yard last year. She wasn’t a wild rabbit, but she did have this big, weird growth on the right side of her face.
Had she been dumped by someone? No owner could be found, though Gracie looked. In any case, Gracie took Abby to the vet and they biopsied and removed the growth. All good and done and Abby was fine, but it cost nearly $2000.
Then about three weeks ago Abby seemed to be drooling, and then a small swelling appeared, this time on the left side of her face. Concerned, especially with Abby’s history, it was back to the vet right away! Now this time it turned out to be something completely different. Abby had an infection (an abscess) that was causing the swelling, and this was happening because the roots of her back tooth were growing into the jaw!
Gracie spent a bit over $200 on the exam, and a course of antibiotics cleared up the abscess for now, but the doctor says it will come back, and get worse. The tooth has to be removed, it could even damage Abby’s jaw if it is allowed to continue. It isn’t too much money, around $500, but Gracie doesn’t have it right now. She is still paying down her Care Credit from Abby last year, and they will not extend her more credit.
As with all our campaigns, we only pay donations directly to the veterinarian when the surgery is performed, never to the owner. So calling all rabbit lovers! If you can help Abby get the surgery she needs, please donate in confidence, your donation will be used for Abby to get her tooth and jaw all fixed up, thank you!

As a rabbit owner, I hope other people will give this bunny some concern.
