About the Campaign
Aava just showed up at the door!
She was dragging her back legs, and in bad shape.
Aava has good sense, the home she showed up at, though poor, took mercy on the poor little dog on their doorstep, and took her in!
They got her to a vet, who connected them with At-Choo Foundation, a Los Angeles Rescue that takes street dogs out of Tijuana and gets them new homes in California.
The first specialist
The rescue got Aava to a specialist in Mexico, but Anaplasmosis from ticks prevented surgery. But Aava was not eating, and not getting better, so the rescue found people in the US to take her in and got her to America.
Now Aava needs more care
The good news is that Aava is now able to have surgery, and has been getting treatments. She is doing much better and is able to walk in a limited way. She needs a custom back-brace that costs over $300 and some further treatment that was not planned for!
Donations are needed to get Aava the last treatments she needs as well as her brace to help support her back, and her healing. Once she has her brace she can be made available to adopt and get on with her furry little life!! Let’s help Aava today!
